I grew up with Transformers G1, had quit a nice collection too. 128 Transformers, an entire run of the Marvel comics, several oddball pieces as well. About 10 years ago I sold off my entire collection and have regretted it ever since. My son started getting into them with Beast Wars so I kinda followed them a bit with him thru the years. When they started coming out with the Universe line they really caught my attention again. Those along with ROTF it has kicked me back into collecting again. I did keep a couple of my original pieces, so I busted them back out and have been picking up some of the Universe and Animated toys.
Anyone else collecting Transformers?

I won't lie shadowbat, I really dug the Transformers as a kid. I lost interest after G1. I didn't have that many..maybe a dozen in all at the most, but I sure did love 'em.
I have only one of my originals still. My son has since gotten into Transformers. He likes the movie and the newer toon. I still love the old G1 cartoon. I got the new Shout Factory volume 1 set on DVD.
My difficulty in collecting right now is that my son is at an age where he shifts from thing to thing. He's actually more into Star Wars but right now is on a Power Rangers kick. He needs a little bit of age (he's only 6) before he settles into things a bit better.
If I were to collect, however, it would be the newer animated toys.

I have a few from just about all incarnations from G-1 to the Revenge of the Fallen. I used to have over 300 different Transformers, which included the entire Armada series, and lots of Japanese exclusives, I even had a G-2 Megatron from Italy... but I had to sell most of them after my divorce, as I din't have the room for them anymore.

I still have the early Jetfire as well as one of the Optimus Primes from the early 90's.

My collection is growing steadily and is reaching 100. Man I missed these.
